London Fashion Week is about to begin, and we know all the fashionistas out there are super excited to get a sneak peek of the events. This year’s fashion week is somewhat different as we expect various hybrid virtual and in-person events.
London fashion week is all about glorious brands, press releases, catwalks, brand new designers, our old favorites, and much more.
Hermagic has created a list of the best designers you can expect to see at London Fashion Week 2023.
We are about to begin the list from your old favorites to brand new launches, so hold your breath tight..!
1. Abigail Ajob
The London-based designer started her label during the lockdown. She graduated from the London College of fashion. She made her debut at the London fashion week last year with the collection based on young love. The second presentation is a sequel to that.
Her collection is inspired by her parent’s love story, who met on a flight from Lagos to London. To come up with this year’s collection, she has gone through the family photo albums and took inspiration from them. She has sampled hues of different colors and printed a love letter on Nigerian denim, which her father wrote to her mother.
2. Daniel W Fletcher
Fashion lovers are pretty aware of this name. He has been in this game since the 2020s. He won the British Breakthrough Designer of the year award and was seen in “Next” on an ott platform. He is quite popular among celebrities such as Dua Lipa and Harry Styles. He is expected to open on the first day of the London Fashion Week.
3. Molly Goddard
Molly Goddard is a rising fashion designer in the UK. Her designs are large and have a flowy look to them. She uses extra fabrics to focus on volume and create beautiful silhouettes that can make the look bulkier. She is well known for her bold and dramatic look as she manipulates the fabric to create variations. We expect to see her on Saturday 17th of September at 2 pm.
4. Sinead O’ Dwyer
She is a London-based Irish fashion designer. Her designs have been worn by Lara Stone, Arca, Precious Lee, and Paloma. She doesn’t believe in sticking to a particular trend. She has been experimenting with a lot of body types and shapes.
5. Yuan Wang
Yuan Wang grabbed people’s attention when he spoke about the increase in violent attacks on women in the UK. The collections of Yuan Wang are about hyper-femininity and exploring more on beauty in addition to the important messages he delivers through his designs.
6. Emilia Wickstead
Emilia is a reputed fashion designer who is well known for her royal collection. The princess of Wales is a client of the luxury designer Emilia Wickstead. We have watched Emilia be a part of the London Fashion Week for over a decade. Her timeless designs still touch our hearts as she still plays around with bold prints and sober silhouettes in her designs. Emilia’s designs are surely meant to be for the royal class.
7. Rejina Pyo
Rejina Pyo has been in the limelight since 2014. She has an impressive line of clients, from Leandra Medine to Eva Chen. She focuses on how accessibility and inclusion are at the brand’s heart. Whether it is about a regular dressing routine or an extraordinary look, it is the same for a woman worldwide. She will present her collections on Sunday, 18th of September, at London Fashion Week.
8. Simone Rocha
Simone Rocha has a unique style of romanticism in her designs. We can think of feminine designs, elegant looks, and puffed sleeves when we talk about Simone Rocha. She has three stores in London, New York, and Hong Kong. It is an award-winning brand already. The designer has been presenting her collections since 2010 and keeps impressing us with her realm of fine art. The dreamy designs, use of feathers, etc., are all made to fall in love with her designs.
9. Masha Popova
London-based Masha Popova is a designer who you might be familiar with already. Dua Lipa’s butterfly top has been doing the rounds, and you have got to fix your eyes on Masha for that. Her designs have been worn by Bella Hadid, Billie Eilish, and Kendall Jenner. Popova’s works are subversive, bold, and playful.
